Stanford Prison Experiment

I found this video on the Tegenlichtwebsite. It's about an experiment three scientists did in 1971. They put carefully selected people (selected on no mental problems) in a prison they built to answer the question: what happens to GOOD people when you put them in a BAD environment?

Some of the people had to be the prisoners, the others should be the prison guard. They all know that they were helping with an experiment. What happened was totally dramatic. The guards became sadistic and some of the prisoners depressed. To prevent further abuse, they had to stop the experiment already in 6 days, instead of the 2 weeks they planned.
