Children that had a concussion are likely to develop a depression

Another Dutch article about developing a depression.
After doing a research with almost 82.000 children, it shows that children under 18 that had an concussion 4 times more often than other children. After concluding this, the scientists filtered the research, taking out the other factors that could have caused the depression as well, and they concluded that the number of depressed children that had a concussion is still two times higher than with the children without.

There were only a few things that were not that reliable about the research. The scientists didn't make a different between concussions and bigger damage to the head or brain, and it is not clear whether the accident took place before the depression or after.
But still a nice research that shows that injuries in/on your head more often lead to depressions.
