Not
al monamine neurotransmitters are good for you.
Here
clearly what every monamine neurotransmitter does:
dopamine: neurotransmitter
and hormone, precursor of norepinephrine and epinephrine, which are made out of
hydroxylering. Dopamine plays an important role in the feeling of
happiness, well-being and pleasure. People with Parkinsons don’t have enough
dopamine. Also with ADHD and Schitzofrenia there is not a good balance of
dopamine.
norepinephrine: is a bit like epinephrine. Not enough norephinphrine
causes depression, but too much causes euforia,
anxious, tense and excitement. Norephinphrine is used for Depression. methylfenidaat of atomoxetine are used to slow
down the norepinephrine .
epinephrine (adrenaline): appears when there is stress, fear,
anger, pain, extreme cold. Can be harmful, when there is too much for a long
time, but is sometimes used to have more energy and to become alert. You can
become addicted to adrenaline. When your brain quickly makes a lot of
adrenaline, it is a part of a fight and flightreaction.
histamine: neurotransmitter in the central nerve center and has
a function in the defense system of your body. Can be found in food that
consists a lot of proteins, like fish, cheese, meat, sauerkraut and some sorts
of yeast. Histamine can be found in different parts of your body, for example
in the tissues in your body that have a lot of contact with your surroundings,
like your skin, the lungs and in the alimentary
canal. Histamine regulates the sleepingprocesses and makes us alert, especially
in new situations.
serotonin: works as a regulator for the dopamine-system and had
a big influence on your mood, confidence, sleep, emotions, sexual activity and
appitite. Serotonin also plays an important role in processing pain. To make
serotonin, you need ‘aminozuur’ Tryptofaan, which can be found in chickpea’s,
milk, banana’s and chocolate. This tryptofaan will be converted to Serotonin by
enzyms.
